A "tummy tuck, or an abdominoplasty, can significantly enhance your appearance and self-confidence. The procedure involves the removal of excess skin and fat from the abdomen and tightening the muscles of the abdominal wall. This procedure can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen, remove excess bulk, and recreate a waistline that has otherwise been stretched over time.

Liposuction

Body Lift

A "lifting" of the entire trunk (abdomen, flanks, and back) and sometimes of the buttocks and thighs, is sometimes needed, especially after large amounts of weight loss. A tissue-expander is a device, similar to a water balloon, that is placed in the body so that tissue expansion may be performed. Tissue expanders are made from a silicone compound similar to that used in saline breast implants. The exact size and shape of the expander is determined by the size, shape and nature of the defect requiring reconstruction.

Skin Cancer Reconstruction

Skin cancer is diagnosed by removing all or part of the growth and examining its cells under a microscope. It can be treated by a number of methods, depending on the type of cancer, its stage of growth, and its location on your body. Most skin cancers are removed surgically, by a plastic surgeon or a dermatologist. If the cancer is small, the procedure can be done quickly and easily, in an outpatient facility or the physician's office, using local anesthesia.

Scar Revision

Scar revision is the process of making the scar and area numb with local anesthetic shots, removing the scar, repairing the resulting wound in the best way we know how, and allowing the wound to heal again. This may leave an improved scar, but it will take many months before the scar becomes flat and loses its redness. All of this healing will take a minimum of three months, often longer for the scar tissue to soften and mature into its best ultimate form.
